Visa H-2A trabajar en EU como temporero en agricultura
Con una visa H-2A se puede trabajar temporalmente en Estados Unidos en el sector agrà cola. Y es que es un hecho que la agricultura en USA està ¡ en manos de trabajadores extranjeros. Se estima que hasta el 50 por ciento de dichos trabajadores son indocumentados. El resto son residentes, ciudadanos y, un buen nà ºmero, personas con visas de trabajo temporal H-2A. El dato fundamental para que las embajadas y consulados emitan los visados es que es necesario cumplir una serie de requisitos que regulan quià ©n puede obtenerlos y en quà © condiciones. Y, por supuesto, contar con el patrocinio de una empresa americana. Ciudadanos de quà © paà ses pueden solicitar una visa H-2A Para poder beneficiarse de esta visa el primer requisito que hay que cumplir es ser nacional de un paà s designado anualmente en una lista especial por el gobierno de Estados Unidos. El 18 de enero de 2019 se publicà ³ en el Registro Federal un listado de 84 paà ses cuyos ciudadanos pueden tener esta visa. Tipo de trabajo Ha de estar relacionado con la agricultura, incluyendo los servicios agrà colas, y ha de ser de carà ¡cter temporal o de temporada. Cà ³mo se inicia el proceso para obtener estas visas El patrono agrà cola o las organizaciones de productores del campo son los que inician el proceso. Es decir, no se puede ir al consulado y decir: quiero aplicar para una visa H-2A. En primer lugar la empresa que contrata debe conseguir una certificacià ³n del Departamento del Trabajo, ya que para poder solicitar un trabajador extranjero deberà ¡ probarse que no hay en Estados Unidos personas con permiso de trabajo y con la calificacià ³n y el deseo necesarios para realizar ese tipo de trabajo. Con esta certificacià ³n en la mano, se solicita al Servicio de Inmigracià ³n y Ciudadanà a (USCIS, por sus siglas en inglà ©s) mediante el formulario I-129 la autorizacià ³n para solicitar a un trabajador extranjero con carà ¡cter de no inmigrante. Es decir, es un trabajador laboral y al acabar el trabajo o llegar la fecha de expiracià ³n de la visa debe salir de Estados Unidos. Si el USCIS da su aprobacià ³n, entonces la persona extranjera podrà ¡ solicitar ante la Embajada o consulado americano que le corresponda una H-2A. Tiene queà pagarse la cuota o arancel correspondiente por su tramitacià ³n y si no se cumplen todos los requisitos, la visa puede ser denegada. Cà ³mo tienen conocimiento de estos trabajos los extranjeros que se encuentran en sus paà ses Es comà ºn que este tipo de empleo se ofrezca a travà ©s de agentes, reclutadores o agencias de servicio de empleo. Estos agentes no pueden solicitar ningà ºn tipo de cuota, arancel o pago al trabajador extranjero a cambio de ofrecerles un puesto de trabajo. Se recomienda utilizar los servicios de una agencia o reclutador con excelente reputacià ³n. Este es un listado de mà ¡s de 60 reclutadores de visas H-2A y tambià ©n H-2B en Mà ©xicoà con explicacià ³n de cà ³mo es el reclutamiento, problemas y cà ³mo verificar la reputacià ³n de los reclutadores y agencias. Validez de la visa H-2A En general este tipo de visa se concede por un periodo de 1 aà ±o. Puede extenderse hasta dos veces por un periodo de un aà ±o hasta un total de 3 aà ±os. Se deberà ¡ entonces abandonar Estados Unidos por tres meses antes de volver a aplicar por una nueva visa. Hay que tener en cuenta que la condicià ³n fundamental para que la visa sea và ¡lida es que el empleado està © realmente trabajando. Si el extranjero con una visa H-2A no se presenta a trabajar en los cinco dà as siguientes a la fecha de inicio de empleo o si es despedido, o si se ausenta del trabajo cinco dà as seguidos sin notificar al empleador la razà ³n de la ausencia entonces el patrono notificarà ¡ dichas faltas al USCIS y las autoridades migratorias entienden que se està ¡ violando las condiciones de la visa y, por lo tanto, ya no es và ¡lida. Not only did the accusations of Jerry Sandusky make the news nationwide but also the unethical actions of athletic director, Tim Curly, head football coach, Joe Paterno, and University Senior Vice President at the time, Gary Schultz. The following will define the issue and its basis, ground rules that manifested the situation, what brought the issue about, how did key individuals come into play and the ethical systems at work of these key individuals. During the time Mike McQueary was in the locker room he heard noises coming from the shower. When Mike McQueary peered into the shower, he claims to have witnessed Jerry Sandusky naked in the shower and performing inappropriate actions with who appeared to be a 10-year-old boy (ââ¬Å"Penn State Scandal,â⬠2011). After leaving the locker room Mike McQueary notified his father of the actions, he witnessed. After hearing this news Mike McQuearyââ¬â¢s father stated that Mike must inform head football coach Joe Paterno. On Saturday, March 2, 2002 Mike McQueary notified Joe Paterno of the incident the previous night (ââ¬Å"Penn State Scandal,â⬠2011). Upon hearing this news Joe Paterno made a decision to notify his immediate superior, athletic director Tim Curly. Upon hearing this news from Joe Paterno, Tim Curly informed University Senior Vice President, Gary Schultz. More than a week later, Gary Schultz called Mike McQueary into his office to have Mike explain the details of what he witnessed to Gary Schultz and Tim Curly. Joe Paterno was not present during the meeting. Actions Gary Schultz and Tim Curly instituted toward Jerry Sandusky were the confiscating of the locker room keys and an incident report sent to The Second Mile, an organization Jerry Sandusky formed to elp young children. Mike McQueary, Joe Paterno, Tim Curly, and Gary Shultz never reported the incident to University Police. Basis of the Issue Tim Curly and Gary Schultz never reported the incident to police because they claim that Mike McQueary only reported ââ¬Å"inappropriate conductâ⬠that made Mike McQueary ââ¬Å"uncomfortable,â⬠but never mentio ned any sexual activity (ââ¬Å"Penn State Scandal,â⬠2011). Thus, Tim Curly and Gary Schultz believed their solution to confiscate Jerry Sanduskyââ¬â¢s locker room keys and inform The Second Mile organization was sufficient. Since both Tim Curly and Gary Schultz executed this decision, and without any knowledge of sexual crimes committed by Sandusky, there was no need to notify University Police (Curry, 2011). Joe Paterno believed at the time his decision to inform his immediate superior was the most ethical decision but realizes he should have informed authorities also. Situation Manifestation Any university must have ethics and ground rules to follow; however people must to follow anyway of proper conduct at home, professional, and to be a good citizen. A communication breakdown with official and the University of Pennsylvania University concerning about the sexual scandal with former football coach ââ¬Å"Jerry Sandusky. â⬠According to the Mike McQueary testimony that he testified when he first told Pennsylvania State Athletic Director Tim Curley and Vice-President Gary Schultz what he had seen Jerry Sandusky doing to a boy in the football shower, back in March 1, 2002. According to Twitter accounts of McQuearyââ¬â¢s testimony from this morning provided by the Patriot-News, McQueary said that he had gone to the Lasch Football Building that night to pick up a pair of sneakers and a football game film from his locker; he heard a ââ¬Å"rhythmic slapping soundâ⬠and saw in a mirror Jerry Sandusky in the shower with a boy who appeared to be 10 or 12. He believed Sandusky was ââ¬Å"molesting the boyâ⬠: (Don Walvelton pp3, deadspin) McQueary told them that Sandusky was extremely sexual involved with minors, but they told McQueary that they will investigate and meanwhile Sandusky cannot be on football showers or close to a minor. However, Sandusky still showed up after the warning, McQueary was told by Curley and Schultz not to discuss the incident. McQueary should have handled this procedure differently not just calling his father, but he should have called the authorities. He should have looked for internal help from the university. It seems official overlooked the possible problems and possible future issues or the damage to the Pennsylvania State University image. The officials were charged with perjury because they did not pursue the investigation with diligent. This sexual abuse behavior of Sandusky could be preventing it by the first sign of sexual abuse, but the missed miscommunication and the allegations brought it up was extremely delicate. Another judge was point to the case because of conflict of interest. Evaluation of Ethical Systems No ethical systems were at work for any individual involved in the scandal at the organization of Penn State. The ethical dilemma was going on for more than 10 years. A few individuals had the chance to report information to a higher authority but did not, which became unethical business behavior. Mike McQueary used duty-based ethics by telling the Athletic Director Tim Curley and Vice-President Gary Schultz what he had seen in the shower the night of the incident. After McQueary informed the athletic director and vice-president he should have gone to a higher authority. The issue could have been handled better if there were ethical guidelines and protocols in place. It would have also helped if there was a formal documented interview with Jerry Sandusky and Mike McQueary along with all pertinent authorities. They failed to see the magnitude of the situation as well as the level of involvement an issue like this calls for. This is how the ethical behavior and responsibility differed between the employees and management. Mike McQuearyââ¬â¢s responsibility was to tell the athletic director and vice president. Once management was notified, it was their responsibility to forward the issue on to the proper authorities for a proper investigation. Joe Paterno should have been notified constantly from Coach Mike McQueary, especially if the ethical dilemma continued to take place. Involving the head coach could have prevented secrets from being held back, and could have also kept jobs from being lost. Revising Ethical Standards These tragic events have led to the evaluation of the Universityââ¬â¢s Ethical Standards and Guidelines. As ethics become a more prevalent part of the academic system, Penn State has recognized the need for reform. Their current standards and guidelines are out-of-date and require attention. In order to effectively issue and implement changes, Penn State officials will need gather resources and assemble a plan. With any situation of this magnitude, the timeline between the event and the organizations response is crucially important. Penn State officials will need to address the matters in a timely manner to show their dedication to upholding the pride and principles Penn State was founded on. The first step in this plan should include a clear and precise set of regulations, guidelines, and principles. The essence of these materials should be detailed in nature while addressing every potential person or party that participates in the Universityââ¬â¢s program. This will aid in helping individuals make the correct decisions when they encounter ethical dilemmas such as this. As stated earlier, many of the individuals involved in this case felt as if they took the necessary actions toward the situation. Unfortunately, they were mistaken, but if they had a solid set of guidelines to refer to they would not be questioning the extent of their involvement as the guidelines would take them step by step through the proper protocol. After the compilation of the Ethical Standards and Guidelines, the next step would be to inform. Many organizations have such standards in place; however, not all organizations make this information readily available. In junction with making the newly developed Ethical Standards and Guidelines accessible to all members, Penn State should implement an educational training program mandatory for all members of its organization. This makes sure that every individual involved with campus activities is aware of basic ethical standards, methods of obtaining all ethical standards and guidelines, the severity of ethical misconduct, as well as resources should they have any questions or concerns about ethical dilemmas. The Penn State Scandal has become a media feeding frenzy. This is unfortunate as the school is very well renowned and based heavily on traditional values and principles. As a university with this level or prestige it is important to show the public their focus and determination in correcting these ethical shortfalls. Organizations that own up to their faults and go above and beyond in correcting them, receive more positive feedback from the public. This allows them to reclaim their dignity and rebuild confidence among the organization. The last step in this cycle is the evaluation of both short-term and long-term compliance. All ethical dilemmas should be reported to a committee or appointed group so the issues can be tracked, monitored, and learned from. If the revised Ethical Standards and Guidelines do not show a decrease in overall ethical issues these standards and guidelines should be carefully reevaluated. An organizations ethical system is always changing. As society changes so does our ethical system and ideal compliance. An organization should keep up with these changes and consistently monitor their own ethical system to ensure that it is operating efficiently. Ethics has long been overlooked, but the events over the past decade have forced all of America to reevaluate our ethical standards and systems. American Society will continue to change and events like the Penn State Scandal will open the door for many other victims to speak out. This will increase the importance of sound ethical practices within an organization. Organizations that want to grow and enjoy continued success will identify this trend and increase their focus on ethical standards. Although these three men believed at the time that each was making the most ethical decision, the decisions each man made was not enough. Whenever an incident occurs with children, no matter how innocent it sounds, authorities need to be notified. The choice not to involve authorities has had an extreme impact on the university, faculty, students, alumni, and surrounding community. Although these events are tragic, the University of Penn State must push forward and focus on rebuilding their ethical principles. With dedication and support from their students and faculty, Penn State will rebuild and establish a new set of traditions that teaches, informs, and pursues the act of ethical decision making. Question: Discuss about the history of ultrasound physics. Answer: The physics of ultrasound starts with the discussion of what exactly Ultrasound is. Ultrasound is similar to a normal sound that we generally hear when only physical properties are taken into consideration. However, the only difference is that it is not audible to human ear. A normal human being can listen to a sound of frequency lying between 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The frequency of above 20 kHz is known as Ultrasound and this can be heard by the species such as dogs, cat, bat, whale etc. From the period of its evolvement till now, ultrasonic physics have moved forward in an exponential manner and find its applications in the field of medicine, diagnosis, NDT, detection etc. Witnessing the application of ultrasound, it may be assumed of that the development of the technology may have been done by some of the medical professional. However, the reality is far away from this. The people involved in the development of ultrasonic physics were nowhere attached to the mechanical field; rather the y all were of different field professional (Tsung, 2012). History of Ultrasound Physics When it comes to the evolvement of any technology or any method, there is always an interesting story behind its evolvement. The evolvement of ultrasound physics started in 6th century BC, when Pythagoras, who is famous for his Pythagoras theorem of triangles discovered the sonometer to study the mechanics in sound. The next big change that came into lime light was in the year 1794, when Lazzaro Spallanzani studied the concept of echolocation used by the bats for the movement. The bats sends the ultrasonic sound and when it hit any object it bounce back and studying this gives the idea of the size, structure and the dimension of the body. Next in the year 1877, the curie brothers came up with the bang by inventing the Ultrasonic transducers which can emit ultrasound and receive it by the concept of piezoelectric effect (Fraden, 2016). In the year 1912, the titanic sank and this was really heartening for each and every one throughout the world (Agarwal, 2013). However, this inspired Paul Langevin to invent hydrophone which can detect objects at the bottom of sea. Seeing the effect of ultrasound, the medical professional started studying and researching the properties of material for medical use and it goes on from the year 1920 to 1940. There were no major achievements in the field during this period. Later, in the year 1942 sonography was first used to transmit ultrasound through the human skull and detected the brain tumor. This brought up a revolution in the use of ultrasound in the medical field. In the year 1948, an Internist at the Naval Medical Research Institute named as George D developed equipment which can detect the gallstones. It took almost 1 year from there to understand the use of ultrasound for the diagnosis purpose, rather than only detecting. He started the work on Ultrasonic very far back, but it was only confined within the US Navy until Oct49. In the same year, an English born physicist decides to measure the changes occurred on the bowel wall with the help of Ultrasound as he thought it to be the most prominent method to determine the bowel distention. At the end of year 1949, an American radiologist developed an ultrasonic scanner using the spare parts from the radio store and equipment of radar kept for Air Force. It was in the year 1962, the first hand held B-Mode scanner was developed which was commercially launched in the US. This was the time when then model of ultrasound scanner which we use in today was developed and was brought into actual practice. To discuss about the achievements and the further scope of Ultrasonic physics an International level Conference was arranged in US in the year 1965. The pioneer of Ultrasound from all over the world attended the conference and shared their thoughts in order to bring further advancement in the existing technology. The first real time scanner was manufactured by Richard Soldner and Walter Krause which was named under Vidoson. This real time scanner is similar to the ones we are using today in diagnosis and treatment of several diseases. Since then researcher never looked back and achieved great success from designing of the echocardiogram by employing echo test and displaying it on the 2D screen. Then in the year 1966 the image of blood flow layer of the heart was developed. The next development was even bigger one in which 3D image of fetus was captured by Kazunori baba of the University of Tokyo (Baker, 2008). It was in the year of 1990s that the imaging of the ultrasonic got sophisticated and improved with excellent screen quality. At the end of 1990s 4D imaging (real time) capabilities was adopted with continuous improvement. Properties of Transducer The invention was transducer is considered to be the biggest achievement in the evolvement of the ultrasonic physics. The properties of transducers because of which it came into lime light are as follows: Emitting ultrasonic signal Work as a boundary between the control system, measurement and automation Conversion of electrical signals into other physical quantities such as motion, light, torque, energy and force Low hysteresis and noise The dynamic range of Transducers is very high.
